At the FIVB 2010 Men’s World Championships from September 24th to October 10th 2010 of course also the top European teams will fight for the title in Italy. Besides the host nation Bulgaria, France, Germany, Poland, Russia, Spain, the Czech Republic and Serbia are among the 24 participants. Austria and the Czech Republic could welcome all of the European participants at EuroVolley next year.
Almost all of the European nations who will compete in Italy have already qualified for the EuroVolley 2011. The Top-5-teams of the CEV European Championships 2009 (Bulgaria, France, Poland, Russia and Serbia) could start their preparations one year ago. Slovenia, Finland, Slovakia, Germany, Italy and Poland have made it through the qualification. The last three spots for the EuroVolley 2011 will be decided in the playoffs in September. As only team at he World championships in the playoffs Spain has to beat Belgium to join the rest of the other participants. Turkey meets Greece in the playoffs, Belgium faces the Netherlands.
